After years of freelance administration work in the music industry, I realised there was a need for a comprehensive service where musicians and labels can get help with a broad range of tasks. Much of the feedback received from colleagues and fellow musicians over the years was related to the royalty minefield (and all those admin jobs that end up at the bottom of the to do list…) Many artists simply don’t have the time, the inclination or the resources to tackle all the necessary online databases, license requirements or metadata compilation.
I have built up relationships with other industry professionals and very often we work with the same clients at different stages of their projects – studio engineers, mastering engineers, artwork designers, manufacturers, digital aggregators & physical distributors.
When we work together we can ensure metadata is shared with all who need it, therefore reducing duplication and another level of communication required by the artist. With so many more self-releasing artists and independent labels now, there is an increasing amount of admin to be dealt with and I aim to ease some of that burden and help join up the dots.
